frustrated

I like this game, but I dont like that i have to use a life everytime I level up. I was down to one life, I completed my level, and couldnt go to the next level because I had no more lives. I thought you only lost a life when you didnt complete a goal. I was completely disappointed and frustrated!! I wanted to move on. Please fix this!!!
